Madden NFL 23 participants voted in favor of the new collective bargaining proposal from the owners by the narrow margin of 1.019-959 votes. Approximately 500 Madden NFL 23 players did choose not to vote. The CBA, which will go through the 2030 season was approved by the voting majority. It was a result I anticipated since the beginning, but the margin is unexpected.
The agreement was approved in spite of a vocal group of veterans on social media as well as in the union. There is discussion of players choosing to vote in light of the current climate with the coronavirus outbreak and the market panic however, I find it hard to believe. I think this CBA was probably always getting accepted. Here's why.
There are two main motives for the CBA was approved
First, it aids people who belong to the "rank-and-file" members of the union more than the stars. The rise in minimum salary is significant and I'm confident that the majority rank-and-file members vote for what's crucial now, not on what will be important later in their career or when they retire.
This is why I was surprised to observe an overwhelming number of "no" ballots. There was a report earlier in the week about players wanted to alter their votes, and the Madden NFL 23 Players Association was unable to accommodate their request. However, it was also thought that the majority of those players wanted to alter their voting between "no" to "yes," once they were able to get more information about the CBA. A lot of players were initially Imaden NFL 23uenced by the voices on social media, and I'm sure that once they started to study the CBA for themselves, they wished to modify their votes.

The biggest leverage that players have to gain leverage in this scenario is the risk of having to miss games. I'm in the unique position of thisas a participant of the lockout that took place in 2011 as well as CBA discussions. Players believed they'd be able to stay out for the duration of an entire season. But, when they began to sniff the possibility of a training camp, the players bowed. They needed money. They had taken out high-interest loans or simply ran out of money in the months leading up to the season. They wanted a deal, and that meant settling for less.
Although there was a time when the Madden NFL 23PA has been informing players for a few years to save money in case there was an interruption in work, you should remember that I stated earlier: a majority of Madden NFL 23 team is the rank-and-file. Everyone isn't satisfied with the labor arrangement and in every negotiation the other side will have to make concessions and get a little. This being said, I'd decided to support this CBA however I'm aware of its shortcomings.
They don't mind less practice time or less testing for street drugs, which is why they would be willing to sacrifice those points. The players didn't get much in return for a 17th game, though.
They required a higher income split that was greater over 48.5 percent. They required an extra bye week to prepare for playing an additional game. They required more roster spots as well as a greater increase of the active list for gamedays than they got.
