Jagex is a U.K.-based company, and another defendant Elansari called, Shanghai Fukong Interactive Entertainment, is a China-based venture capital company that bought Jagex in 2016.

Elansari also said his claim was among public accommodation discrimination (in other words, although some private companies may not discriminate against their spouses ). The Third Circuit panel n't went for this. Those grounds are race, colour, religion or national origin.

The litigious history of Elansari was noted by the Patriot-News of Harrisburg, PA; he's brought 10 suits in July 2019 four of these, before 18 months alone.
