Finding Arts Online - The Arts Directory

A web directory is an internet web site devoted entirely to collecting information about other sites. A business directory limits itself to business web sites only. These directories, and there are thousands of them, assign each site a small plot of virtual real estate on their site that will contain a brief description, a link to the site, and possibly a screen shot image of the site's home page. All of this information is then organized into a database that can be searched by category, name, or sometimes even geographic location or region. So far they don't sound much different from a search engine, do they?
