Gods Origin Online Games has finally announced a release date for the upcoming Gods Origin expansion, goo. Slated to debut on September 27, the expansion will bring some big changes to the game, including an entire loot system revamp and a new leveling system complete with talent trees.
VivaGames has decided that Neverwinter‘s Refinement system is a bit of a chore for players — what with all the items that have to be saved, the vast number of types, and having to wait until the right time to use them. They’ve also noted that this system can be a bit daunting for new players who have to figure out what enchantments are used where. So, to make things easier, the team has decided to do away with that whole system.
As for the game itself, the matches play a fair bit more quickly than Arena’s did. Part of this might be because two experienced players were at the helm, but it’s unquestionable that VivaGames realized how plodding Duels was and made some changes to ensure Arena would be more appealing to modern video gamers.
And how does one get access? There’s the usual “Join the Test” link on the Arena Gods Origin game site. That takes you to the Wargaming login page for EU players — you’ll recall that WG is publishing the game for CA — and we haven’t been able to suss out yet whether NA players can get into the test.
