GMU is a state private university. Moreover, it is registered under UGC section 2(f). Additionally, It was established under the Gujarat Private University Act 2009. It is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. However, it doesn’t have a campus of its own. Hence, it operates to form a transitory campus. Especially, the university offers courses at master’s and PG diploma level with specialization in shipping and logistics, Maritime law, and international trade law.
The university also aims to become a bridge between human capital and the Maritime Industry. Additionally, the other objective is to become an institute of global excellence providing Maritime education. In fact, GMU is the first-of-its-kind university in India. Moreover, it is an initiative to accelerate the production of trained professionals for the global maritime trade industry.
