How To Cook The Yummiest Chicken Keema?

Keema Pav is the most delicious meat dish in any restaurant or home. It is widely popular in the local streets for its delicious spicy taste. Keema is typically made of mutton mince. However, you can prepare it with chicken too. Consider this guide for preparing the yummiest version:

Preparation

Chicken mince purchased from online stores can be easily stored in your fridge before use for a few days. However, if you have prepared the mince at home, you should use it within a day or two. Before cooking, remove your chicken mince from the fridge and let it defrost. This could take some time. Therefore, plan before cooking them. To defrost, put the chicken mince pack in a bowl of water for 30 minutes since it is watertight. You can also microwave it for a few minutes.

Cooking

  • Use a non–stick pan to cook chicken keema. Chicken mince is very delicate and lean. Hence, they can get stuck to the pan. Using a non–stick pan ensures that the mince does not stick to the pan, and you can stir it easily.
  • Add some oil to the pan before cooking the mince. It prevents the mince from drying out due to the heat.
  • Always cook the chicken mince in small batches. The pieces or shreds of chicken make up a fair quantity making it difficult for you to manage it in the pan.
  • Cooking in small batches also helps the pan to retain heat. The pan may lose heat when you toss a significant chunk together. To maintain the heat, you can also consider adding a few drops of oil with every batch of chicken mince.
  • Since you will cook in batches, ensure that all batches are cooked evenly at the same temperature. Otherwise, the taste gets spoilt.
  • To check if the chicken mince is cooked correctly, check for signs of simmering on the heat at least for 15 minutes. If the mince looks opaque, it means it is fully cooked and good to eat. If the mince looks grey, it is less flavourful.
  • As for texture, cooked chicken mince always has a fine texture.
  • If you find large pieces of meat remaining, break them with a spoon for a smooth texture.

Once the chicken keema is prepared, garnish with some mint leaves on the top for finishing touches. Serve it while it is still hot with bread or pav. If not Keema pav, there are other recipes to try out with chicken mince. You can make meatballs, prepare tacos, and lasagne. Order meat online and discover the hidden chef within you today!
