Blizzard was full of new information to announce at the BlizzCon WOTLK Classic Gold opening ceremony, including the introduction of a World of Warcraft character and map called BlizzardWorld, StarCraft II going free to play and a new World of Warcraft single-player mode. World of Warcraft Legion Expansion Release Date Announced
World of Warcraft 's Legion expansion, the PC MMO's sixth installment in its decade-plus operation, will begin on August 30th, Blizzard announced today.
Legion was revealed in Gamescom 2015. The expansion boosts the maximum level to 110 and adds a new class named"the Demon Hunter. Legion also includes a wealth of brand new content. This includes the creation of a new continent called The Broken Isles, new customizable artifact weapons and new dungeons and raids. The expansion also revamps the PvP progression system in addition to other changes.
"Legion is a dark, thrilling fresh chapter within one of the World of Warcraft series' biggest conflicts, and the game are never the similar for some of the Azeroth's most well-known heroes and villains," Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Mohrhaime said in an announcement. "This expansion is packed with features and content that provide players with new ways to experience the world and customize their heroes. We're looking forward to sending everyone into battle against the Burning Legion this August."
A Standard Edition of Legion will be available for $50. while a Digital Deluxe version can be bought at $70. The premium bundle contains content from additional Blizzard games, including Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft, and StarCraft II. Both versions are both available physically and digitally.
There will also be a retail-only Collector's Edition that sells for $90 and comes with a hardcover book, behind the cheap WOW WOTLK Classic Gold scenes two-disc Blu-ray/DVD collection, CD-quality soundtrack and a Legion mousepad as well as the digital items included in The Digital Deluxe edition.
