Live colorfully: Floral romper in Florence

Submitted by sunshineke on Thu, 11/03/2016 - 22:40

Walking in the middle of the streets (often dancing) has somehow become a part of my life I guess. In Germany

everyone would have stared at me in this colorful outfit, but in Florence nobody actually cared. There are just too many weirdos walking around! Thank God.

I've visited Florence for the first time when I was a teenie, and one of the things I still carry in my memory from back then are all the angel paintings by Michelangelo you see in the whole city. Already back then they fascinated me. I have never been religious or something. But the thought that somewhere out there is an angel who watches you & has a protective eye on you always felt calming to me somehow (a bit cheesy I know).

As much as I fell in love with the Tuscan landscape, and all the beautiful little villages in Italy, I am a city girl at heart. This is why the vivid vibes of Florence again inspired me and kind of caught me. I love photography, but you cannot capture everything. And you definitely have to feel and see the spirit and electricity of Florence live in person to understand!

We took the outfit pictures on the luxury shopping street Via de Tornabuoni. As you can see on these pics there I also stood kind of speechless in front of the magical Gucci store. Gosh, how beautiful is it!?

I am wearing my colorful romper here which I already showed you in my summer shopping haul. For the day when walking around sightseeing I went for my pink flats. Later I exchanged them for my red heels by Steve Madden. They are from the US, many years old, and I was truly never (!!) actually wearing them. So finally they get their well-deserved honor here. Also, I bought the lovely mini bag that day at a small Italian leather store – I just felt like blue that day! And I found my white bag a bit boring to the outfit anyways. If you go for colors, then go fully!

I am curious what you guys think about the colorful color combination. Have you ever been to Florence
