ROUTINE TESTS CARRIED OUT IN THE PATH LABS

Laboratory tests can be classified into several general categories based on their purpose and the type of insight they provide. Some laboratory tests are diagnostic. They help reveal the presence or absence of certain diseases and conditions, but some provide general information about the body's systems.

The most common categories of laboratory tests include:

Blood test
This is the most common pathology test doctors prescribe to detect abnormalities and diseases. Your doctor may recommend an annual Blood Test Thane to monitor your health. Here are some common blood tests-

Complete Blood Count (CBC) - The CBC THANE determines whether there is an increase or decrease in the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelet count.

The erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) test - helps check for inflammation. It doesn't tell you where the inflammation is or what's causing it, so it's done along with other tests.

Blood Group - Determines the person's blood type.

Basal Metabolic Panel - A basal metabolic panel is a group of tests that help doctors identify and evaluate important body functions. It consists of checking BUN (blood urea nitrogen), creatinine, glucose, albumin, carbon dioxide (carbon dioxide or bicarbonate), calcium, sodium, potassium, and chloride in the body.

Lipid profile - identifies different levels of cholesterol and other lipids in the blood. This test is recommended for people over 40 who have high blood pressure or diabetes to monitor their cholesterol levels to avoid conditions such as heart disease.
Thyroid panel - a thyroid function test is a series of blood tests to check thyroid function. This test includes T3, T4, TSH, FT3, FT4 and Anti-TPO test.

Blood sugar test – This GLUCOSE TEST THANE is known as a blood sugar test and is used to monitor diabetes. Blood sugar levels are tested under two conditions: fasting or after eating.

Calcium blood test - Calcium strengthens the bones. Calcium is also important for correctly functioning the body's muscles, nerves, and heart. A calcium blood test can help identify kidney disease, kidney stones, bone disease, thyroid disease, bowel disease, some types of cancer, and malnutrition.

Liver function tests- Liver function tests (also called LFTs) are blood tests that include a variety of tests to diagnose how well your liver is working. A pathologist tests levels of enzymes and proteins produced by liver cells or released into the blood when liver cells are damaged.

Cardiac Enzyme Test or Troponin Test - Troponin is a protein found in the heart muscle. It helps regulate blood flow to the heart in the event of heart damage, such as a heart attack. This test helps identify all kinds of abnormalities in the heart.

Iron Research/Vitamin B12 or Vitamin D Test - This test helps identify any iron/vitamin deficiency in your body, and these types of tests help your doctor treat your condition accordingly.

Apart from the above-mentioned test, there are many other tests, such as H1N1 TESTING THANE, and other flu tests. There are many categories of laboratory tests. Some focus on specific organs or systems in the body, while others test for the presence or absence of various substances. Some tests measure levels of chemical compounds in body fluids or tissues.
