The Blind Man's Lament is one of those Skovos rewards players will spot on another rider and immediately want for themselves. This mount trophy, also called Lamento do Cego, comes from a grim story tied to the Sightless Eye rather than a random chest or merchant. Skovos has plenty to distract you-new foes, island paths, and local errands-but this chain is worth tracking if you enjoy its darker lore. It also helps to arrive prepared with solid D4 items, since the closing section throws several serious fights at you without much room to relax.
Start in Lycander
Your first stop is Lycander. Find Oracle Cyra and speak with her to begin Legacy of the Eyeless. The setup is simple, though the story gets unsettling fast: the Sightless Eye has gone silent, and Seer Athrpa needs help finding out why. Don't rush through the dialogue here. It gives the later scenes more weight, especially once you learn what may have reached the artifact. When Legacy of the Eyeless is complete, Sight Thrice Paid should begin on its own, so there's no need to hunt down a separate quest marker.
Follow the Eye's trail
Sight Thrice Paid sends you toward Seer Laurel and then out to locations near a waterfall. This part is less about brute force and more about paying attention to the objective trail. Players sometimes wander off looking for an alternate route, but the intended path is usually close by. Activating the dormant Eye moves the story forward and opens Ashes in the Eye, the mission that actually determines whether you earn the trophy.
Quest Main task What it opens
Legacy of the Eyeless Speak with Cyra and aid Athrpa Sight Thrice Paid
Sight Thrice Paid Meet Laurel and restore the artifact Ashes in the Eye
Ashes in the Eye Cleanse the Profaned Eye Blind Man's Lament
Inside the Profaned Eye
Ashes in the Eye is where the chain earns its reputation. The truth about Lycander, the prophecy, and the corrupted Sightless Eye comes into focus. You'll enter the Profaned Eye, deal with the Hands of Hatred, and face the Hateborn Seraph. It's a rough boss encounter, particularly if your build is better at clearing packs than staying on one hard target. Keep your defensive tools ready and don't burn everything at the first opening. Once the Eye is cleansed, the Blind Man's Lament mount trophy and the Awakened Vision achievement are awarded.
Why the chain matters
This isn't just a cosmetic detour. The three quests count toward Stranger in the Isles, which asks players to complete all fifty-one Skovos side quests. You'll pick up renown, experience, and a clearer sense of where the island's story may be heading. The Eye's visions carry hints about Diablo's return, so lore-minded players shouldn't skip them. If you're filling out your collection, you can buy cheap D4 items to support the tougher encounters, then keep exploring Skovos for the remaining quest markers.
