I got this as an addition to all the other bookshelves in my room because I didn't have enough space for another full sized bookshelf. It fits perfectly where I wanted it.
It isn't as tall as the others, but I knew that going in. It was really easy to put together. It was a little awkward standing the books up like I would on a regular bookshelf, so I ended up stacking them which actually looks pretty nice.
I have 2 cats who run all over the house like they are insane and knock stuff down everywhere they go. They have run across this shelf and the books multiple times. At most, they have knocked one book off the shelf, but the shelf itself has stayed in place. A true test of its sturdiness.
