University of Agricultural Sciences - [UAS], Bangalore

Established in 1964, the University of Agricultural Sciences is located in the Silicon Valley of India, that is, Bangalore in Karnataka. Moreover, UAS is an autonomous not-for-profit multidisciplinary higher education institute. As a matter of fact, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) recognized UAS as the best agricultural university in India. For this reason, Bangalore Agricultural University conferred the Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award for excellence twice in 2001 as well as in 2012. In addition to this, the University of Agricultural Sciences was ranked at the 3rd spot among the agricultural universities of the state in 2008.

University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore began its first batch with two disciplines namely agriculture and veterinary science. Later, UAS started specialized UG and PG agricultural courses. As of now, Agricultural Sciences University provides education in 9 undergraduate, 47 postgraduate, and 34 PhD disciplines.
