Why Certificate of Life is Necessary

Certificate of life serves as proof to the Spanish government that you are still alive and will continue to get your Spanish pension.
Which circumstances call for a Certificate of Life?

No matter where in the UK you live, you must obtain a Certificate of Life within the first quarter January - April in order for your pension payments to continue each year. The Spanish pension office will cease making contributions into your account if you don't send the certificate by the deadline and won't resume them until you do.

How can I get one?

If your Spanish pension is suspended, halted, or placed on hold, it is not made clear how to best obtain a Certificate of Life, but we at Spanish Legal Matters can assist. We may prepare the paperwork in accordance with your specifications and have it ready for signature before sending it to the appropriate Spanish pension office.
