What are Bolts?
A bolt is a type of threaded fastener with an exterior male thread that requires a nut with a corresponding pre-formed female thread. A mechanical fastener having a threaded shaft is called a bolt. Bolts and screws are both mechanical fasteners having threaded shafts that are closely related to one another. These fasteners are normally put through two pieces that have holes that are lined up.

The terminology has been differentiated by a number of standards groups, but many have come to the conclusion that it is not the devices themselves that differ, but rather how they are utilised.
