Ah, New Year's resolutions.Your favorite time of year, when that one annoying person you know from high school posts a Facebook status update, which is about 4,000 words long about why 2017 sucked and how they'll change in 2018.Well, I'm here to extend that to all 30 teams in MLB.2017 was Carl Nassib Jerseys a great year for some and OK for others, but heading into the 2018 season, every team should have a goal. No two goals are created equal, though. So, as Facebook-generic (and dramatic) as po sible, here are New Year's resolutions for all 30 MLB teams.NL WestDodgersResolution:Don't get down.Chin up, Dodgers. You made it to Game 7 of the World Series! You were one of the best teams in baseball for the almost the entire year. With the subtractions from the pitching staff namelyYu Darvishexploring hisoptions in free agency afterbullpen linchpin Brandon Morrow signed with the Cubs don't be surprised if the Dodgers stumble out of the gate. Things could be a little rough early on.Still, there's plenty of young talent on this team to make noise in the NL, regardle s of the heartbreaking World Series lo s, so the key to the Dodgers in 2018 will be to stay focused and lean back on what made them great in 2017.GiantsResolution:Stay the course. The addition of Evan Longoria, seemingly a perfect fit for the Giants, says the team is at least willing to compete in 2018. A change of scenery will probably help Longoria; he posted an 100 OPS+ in 2017, the lowest ofhis career. But Longoria is 32, not 39, and still a solid defender at third and historically a productive player.Chalking up the colo sal 2017 failure of the Giants as a death of their "core" seems a bit premature, considering Buster Posey is coming off another great year offensively and Brandon Belt Davante Adams T Shirts while oft-injured hasn't posted an OPS below .800 since 2014.While they still need a bit of help offensively and in the bullpen a Madison Bumgarner/Johnny Cueto/Jeff Samardzija 1-2-3 in the rotation is still pretty good. The Giants just need to stay where they're at and pre s on, and good things may come their way.RockiesResolution:Play to your strengths.Much ado is made about the effect that Coors Field has on hitters.Who cares? Just play your game. The Rockies have so much firepower at the dish, and now they have it in the bullpen the three-headed monster of Wade Davis, Jake McGee and Bryan Shaw is as viable as any in the majors and will certainly play big into the Rockies succe s in 2018.They shouldn't be afraid to go bullpenning. It's a ma sive weapon, and should the Rockies rotation not hold up, they have those arms lurking in the pen. Just play to theroster, and they'll be fine.DiamondbacksResolution:Keep to yourself. The most dangerous teams are sometimes the most quiet. The D-Backs fit that mold well in 2017.Perennial MVP candidate Paul Goldschmidt led the charge for Arizona in 2017, culminating in a wild-card game victory over division rival Colorado.Arizona was that movie you had no idea was going to be good and then ended up surprising you in the end, and now Las Vegas Raiders Jerseys are eager to see the 2018 sequel. But it'll be a quiet, limited release. (How's that for a long, mediocre analogy?)While the Diamondbacks are sure to make a little bit of noise in 2018, it'll be best not to go around chest-thumping. The rest of the division will be making noise around them, and the D-Backs will go out and win quietly. It's for the best.PadresResolution:Keep your eyes on the future.A wise man once said, "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear." The same can be said about some baseball teams, and the Padres are one of them.It feels like the Padres have teetered on irrelevance for a long time, and to a point, it's true. Brighter days are ahead, though: Committing to Wil Myers long-term is a testament to that, and their reluctance to part with any of their top-tier, minor-league talent Dave Casper Jerseys has skyrocketed them to within the top fiveof most farm system rankings.Don't do anything brash. Don't do anything silly. Just keep your eyes on the prize even if it's a bit further out of reach.MORE: NL CentralCardinalsResolution:Worry about yo' damn self.Understanding that the Cubs have been the talk of the Central for the last few seasons, the Cardinals need to worry le s about what the Cubs are and more about what the Cardinals will be.Acquiring Marcell Ozuna, an underrated star with superstar potential, was a smart move, and the roster should shape up well. But there's a certain amount of jealousy that seems to be brewing in St. Louis that doesn't seem like the "Cardinal Way."The Cardinals(and their fans)need to just go about their busine s in 2018 and not worry about a city 300 miles away, division rival or not.BrewersResolution:Prove you're legit. The Brewers were a surprise team for most of 2017, before faltering following the All-Star break. Probably tired of being the little brother in the division, constantly looking up to the Cardinals, Pirates, Cubs and (sometimes) the Reds, the Brewers seem ready to take that next step. That means acting like they're ready.Milwaukee still needs to land another quality starter to show it'struly ready to compete in 2018. Whether that'sJake Arrieta orYu Darvish, there are options aplenty, and given the way the Brewersfought in the first half of 2017, they' Richard Seymour Jerseys re going to need it.Their farm system is still intact, and they have some holes to fill, but there are players on the free-agent market that can remedy that. Time to prove you were more than just a nice story in 2017.RedsResolution:Keep fighting. And now for the most generic resolution of this list. The Reds were a major surprise early in the 2017 season, when many including myself thought they were by and far the worst team in MLB.Well, they still finished dead last in the NL Central, and theyprobablywon't be any good Josh Jacobs Jerseys again in 2018, but the gusto they showed early in 2017 could help them stay afloat in 2018.They hovered around .500 for most of the first half of 2017 finishing 10 games under .500 at the All-Star break but a bad second half plummeted whatever goodwill they may have had. It's tough to say what the Reds will be in the future, but they're going to have to learn how to keep fighting in 2018.PiratesResolution:Learn to let go.Make no mistake: It's going to suck for Pirates fans to see both Andrew McCutchen and Gerrit Cole finish their careers in different uniforms, but it's in Pittsburgh's best interest to move bot
