12 goals, 11 assists Leverkusen's title-winning star in the race for Real

The race for Jeremy Frimpong (23, Leverkusen) is heating up.

"Real Madrid are in a race with Premier League clubs to sign Frimpong this summer," the British outlet TeamTalk reported on Monday.

Real have had a satisfactory season so far. After 31 games in La Liga, they have 24 wins, six draws, and one loss to lead the table with 78 points.

They are also the favorites to win the European competition. Real reached the last four of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals against Manchester City on penalties.

The squad is not 100% satisfied. The right flank defense left something to be desired. Lucas Vazquez (32) put in a decent performance, but Daniel Carvajal (32) exposed his fitness problems.

Finding a new right-back has become a challenge. With Carvajal showing signs 먹튀검증 of ageing, the argument is that a replacement should be brought in as soon as possible.

Real have set their sights on Frimpong, and according to reports, they're ready to compete with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool for his signature.

Frimpong is currently considered the best right back in the world. His explosive speed and ability to link up seamlessly with the right wing are his biggest strengths.

The numbers back it up. In 38 games across all competitions this season, Frimpong scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists, helping his team win the title.

He has also been touted as the future of the Dutch national team. Frimpong made his A-match debut in September last year and has since expanded his horizons, starting against Scotland last month.

A move this summer is not unlikely. According to TeamTalk, "A buyout is not possible for Frimpong at £34 million. The player is happy at Leverkusen, but a move cannot be ruled out."
