Diablo 4 currently lacks a definitive release date, however it's likely to arrive sometime in the first half of 2023 Diablo IV Gold. It appears Diablo 4 fans who are excited to learn when exactly they'll get to play the game need to tune in to The Game Awards in December.
Diablo 4's world will permit players to quit and begin the story at will, though there allows for non-linearity, it will "allow the possibility of non-linearity" the story will include "a beginning middle, a middle, and an end".
Interview with IGN, Diablo 4 director Joe Shely and general manager Rod Fergusson opened up on the exciting new game for fans of Diablo, as well giving a nitty-gritty insight into how the game's narrative mechanics will differ from previous Diablo games that came before it.
"One of the concerns about having 'open-world' displayed in the form of a large neon and flashing that sign is that it creates the impression of Breath of the Wild that 'oh, it's all natural and I can go anywhere and do whatever I want'" Fergusson said, as transcribing by NME.
"That's not really our story. Our story allows for non-linearity, but there is some story to tell - we wanted to have an beginning, middle, and a conclusion.
"You don't have to follow the story for much of a time and that's one of the great things of the open world," Fergusson added. "There's plenty of side quests, lots of activities that aren't along the golden route."
It is believed that Blizzard is likely to launch Diablo 4 in April 2023. According to recent reports Diablo 4's tentative "2023" release date could be shortened to April, with early access set to launch in February, and pre-orders launching as early as the month of April.
