In the previous year, THQ Nordic unveiled plans for a triple-A title based on the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin storyline, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed God of War games. Additionally, Fortnite introduced the Turtles, Master Splinter, April O'Neal, and the nefarious Shredder as guest character skins in a recent crossover. Back in September, Outright Games announced its venture into a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles title, and now, enthusiasts are treated to a more in-depth preview of this upcoming tie-in. TMNT: Mutants Unleashed is a narrative-driven 3D brawler/platformer that picks up where Mutant Mayhem left off, thrusting the Turtles into a confrontation with a fresh wave of mutants threatening New York City. Players will command the four Turtle siblings in either single-player or potential couch co-op (which might be added post-launch), navigating various urban environments and engaging with characters from the movie. While an official release date for this TMNT-based video game is yet to be disclosed, Mutants Unleashed is anticipated to hit shelves in Q4 of this year. Its release aligns with the upcoming premiere of the Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series on Paramount+ this summer.
