Final Fantasy X and X-2 hit Steam this week with gameplay improvements

Square Enix announced that its classic PlayStation 2-era RPGs Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 will arrive on PC platforms this week with upgraded graphics and optional “game boosters” that eliminate random encounters, among other improvements.

 

Both games are bundled together in the upcoming Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster compilation on Steam, which launches on May 12. FFXIV gil on sale on www.igxe.com 

 

Guild Wars 2: Arenanet Outlines Plans to Improve WvW Scoring

World Vs World (WvW) is Guild Wars 2’s battleground of combat on a massive scale. Each week, it pits three worlds (or servers) against each other, and they battle to capture territory. Unfortunately, though, WvW has sat largely dormant for the past year or so as development focused instead on the expansion and living world content. That’s soon to change. Today, Arenanet outlined the first phase of their plans to improve WvW.

Although World of Warcraft still has a subscriber base of more than 5 million people, Blizzard understands and addresses that community as a cluster of distinct minority groups.

 

In a post on the WoW forums, designer Ion Hazzikostas responded to discontent within the game's community regarding the value of certain in-game items, and Blizzard's perceived lack of interest in tackling the issue. Hazzikostas' reply highlighted the tension between the way a developer understands its audience, and the way that audience understands itself.

World of Warcraft is not just massively multiplayer; it’s massively multi-faceted. There are all sorts of different kinds of PVP and PVE, not to mention pet battles, alts, role-play, dungeons, and more. These aspects cater to different people, but when Blizzard changes anything, it seems like everyone’s upset.
