Installing an app on an Android phone or tablet does not make the device app-ready.
For a defined project, readiness means having a documented device-and-software baseline through which the approved app can be delivered, launched, configured, updated, recovered and supported—and then reproducing that accepted state across the batch. This is a practical project definition, not a certification from Android or Google.
For digital government, logistics, POS, kiosk and other enterprise device programs worldwide, the review should connect:
- The exact model, SKU, Android version and firmware build
- The app package, version, signing owner and distribution route
- Login, permissions, configuration, connectivity, offline operation and peripherals where required
- Management mode, policies, kiosk behavior, updates, reboot and recovery
- A reference sample linked to clear acceptance results, followed by batch staging and handoff against the same baseline
Responsibilities should also be assigned before the pilot begins. The SaaS or application team owns the package, signing, backend, test access, releases and app-level support. Vantora coordinates device selection, build specifications, the selected app or provisioning route, reference-sample evidence, batch staging and device handoff. EMM, OEM and carrier capabilities remain with their respective providers, while the customer or integrator retains policy authority, acceptance responsibility and the final release decision.
The partner retains the customer relationship while Vantora coordinates the device program. Vantora does not replace the app owner, EMM provider, OEM or customer team.
