Fortunately, there are ways to deal with such issues so that excessive battery drain can be stopped effectively. Here are some tips you can try before considering an expensive iPad battery replacement

job.

This is one of the golden rules to deal with many iPhone or iPad issues.

2. Hold on till the Power Off slider appears.
3. Drag the slider to the right for the device to shut down.
4. For iPad models with a Home button, press down and hold on to the Power button until the Power Off slider appears.

Stop background app refreshes
While this can be a nice feature as all apps get updated and refreshed in the background, it is among the biggest battery drainers as well. If your iPad is losing charge rapidly, it’s best to stop or limit the scope of this feature, if you don’t want to go in for an iPad battery replacement. Here are the steps.

2. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
3. Tap on the toggle to disable the feature completely, which is the recommended thing to do if you wish to see a dramatic turnaround in your battery performance.
4. Or you can opt for selective approach, in which, you disable only the non-important apps which you can do without, or those apps which have been particularly unkind to the battery.

Install the latest update

Apple releases timely updates to its iPadOS software to take care of the most common bugs that you might come across. As such, updating your iPad to the most recent version is always recommended to deal with any issues with the device, including unusual battery drain.
1. To update, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Install any update that might be available.

Reset Your iPad

This can well be your last resort, the only thing left for you to do if all the steps mentioned so far has failed. Also, make sure you have backed up all your data and settings before trying this hack, as the iPad will get back to what it was when you first bought it.
2. To reset, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings > Erase iPad.
3. Tap on Erase iPad again for confirmation.
4. Your iPad will restart after the process is complete.
So, now, check if any of the above steps help reverse the battery drain. If it doesn't, you might be looking at a bigger issue that might even require an iPad battery replacement. For that, get in touch with a reliable and well-known service centre that has qualified and experienced technicians.
